Irish musician Glen Hansard passes away at 56

Irish musician Glen Hansard died in a motorbike crash on July 29, 2026. He was 56 years old when the accident occurred near Strawberry Beds. Emergency services attended the scene, but Hansard was pronounced dead shortly after. Hansard won an Academy Award for his song 'Falling Slowly' from the film 'Once'. He is survived by his wife and young son.
