Gold plunges Rs 1,000 to hit 5-week low of Rs 1.54 lakh/10g in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 15 (PTI) Gold prices fell by Rs 1,000 to more than a months low of Rs 1,54,400 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday amid weak global trends and a strong US dollar. The precious metal previously traded around these levels on August 7, when it stood at Rs 1.54 lakh per 10 grams in the local market. Silver pries, however, remained unchanged for the second consecutive day at Rs 2,34,600 per kilogram (inclusive of all taxes), according to local traders.
