WPI inflation edges higher to 9.9% in August, fuel leads rise

Wholesale prices increased to 9.9% year-on-year in August from 9.8% in July. Fuel and power inflation rose significantly, driven by mineral oil and crude petroleum prices. Manufactured products saw a marginal increase, while primary articles eased during the same period. Food inflation reached a twenty-month high, largely due to fruits, vegetables, and milk.
