Tarun Tejpal surrenders in Goa court to serve 10-year sentence

Tarun Tejpal surrendered to a Goa court to serve his ten-year sentence. The Supreme Court directed his surrender within three weeks for the sexual assault case. He was sent to Colvale Central Jail after appearing before the court. The Bombay High Court had convicted him, overturning a trial court acquittal. His appeal challenging the conviction will be heard on September twenty-second.
