Scientists found evidence of liquid nitrogen flow beneath Pluto's Sputnik Planitia. This flow may have occurred after rising through cracks in the glacier. Computer models show nitrogen melting under pressure and reaching the surface. Dark lines and patches on the ice suggest this wetting process.
