Social media user Pratham shared that the restaurant owner uses the expensive dish as a psychological anchor, making Rs 1,500Rs 2,000 options appear more affordable. The strategy reportedly increased average order value by around 35%. The unusual dish also attracted Instagram posts, giving the restaurant free word-of-mouth publicity.
