The recently opened Barapullah Phase 3 corridor in Delhi was anticipated to enhance travel efficiency, but it has rapidly turned into a traffic nightmare due to inadequate design in merging lanes. With a hefty cost of over Rs 1,635 crore, this project has struggled to effectively manage incoming traffic. Similar challenges have been noted in Mumbai and Bengaluru, highlighting an urgent need to address these infrastructural deficiencies for enhanced public transit.
