Manipur govt urges JFD to call off agitation over NRC and census, warns of public hardship

Manipur government spokespersons Th. Radheshyam and Sapam Ranjan Singh have urged the JFD to withdraw its agitation demanding the closure of government offices over the NRC. The government said Manipur wants the NRC conducted before the Census, with 1951 as the base year, and warned that prolonged protests could disrupt government functioning and cause further inconvenience to the public.
