Govt to appoint 14,060 ANMs in next 15 days, Mangal Pandey tells assembly

Bihar's health minister announced the appointment of 14,060 auxiliary nurse midwives within 15 days, adding to the 7,468 already appointed. The state's health budget of Rs 21,270.41 crore for 2026-27 was passed, with plans to upgrade primary health centers and district hospitals to specialty facilities.
