No new Tamil films in theatres from September 1 as producers clash with theatre owners, distributors

The Tamil film industry is heading towards a fresh standoff, with the Tamil Film Producers Council and Tamil Film Active Producers Association announcing that new Tamil films will not be released in theatres from September 1, 2026.
