Bhiwandi crash: Buiding owner, repairs contractor booked; state orders probe

A five-storey Bhiwandi building collapsed, killing ten people and injuring three others. An inquiry was ordered into the crash, and an FIR was lodged against the contractor and owner. Repairs began four days earlier after residents reported falling plaster chunks from the structure. Many residents returned to the building after reinforcing a supporting pillar, which then collapsed.
