Responsibilities:

  1. Your primary goals : To generate Advertising and Sponsorship revenues for all of our WEBSITES & sub-domains by targeting Advertisers. As we are a national portal, our target markets are regional, medium and large advertisers.
  2. Develop co-marketing, co-promotional or collaborative arrangements with companies that do significant amount of marketing and advertising, including participate in their email lists, banners, co-promotions on websites, etc.
  3. Contact large organizations (colleges, training institutes, schools, associations, government bodies, NGOs, etc.) to promote our sites and App downloads for free advertising.
  4. Represent the company in select trade shows, conferences, fairs, networking events and give presentations. Develop contacts in Local/Regional and National level.
  5. Build relationships with Ad Agencies with incentives to direct Advertising on our sites. Manage sales external relationships - Email marketing company, others.
  6. Finding prospects from - the internet, through cold calling, Linkedin, getting references, and other online and offline channels.
  7. Should be able to do cold calling new clients (thru phone, email, social media, others) and follow-up repeatedly to achieve conversion. Should be able to make presentations to large groups.
  8. Hire sales team, oversee and guide them. Must enjoy Sales and Marketing process.
  9. Developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets. Continuously improve sales process, results, pace of work. Work to achieve targets and exhibit good negotiating skills.
  10. Identify new business opportunities in target markets. Research, analyze and introduce new marketing and sales ideas to grow revenue and traffic.
  11. Prepare and update Sales presentation, Advertising Rate sheet, and sales materials.
  12. Some local and outstation travel required.
  13. Work with Digital Marketing team to advance sales process and results.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. It is a Full time position and you should be willing to grow with us.
  2. Bachelors or Masters degree with business and marketing majors preferred.
  3. 3 to 5 years experience in a sales role - executive, manager or sales and marketing director role; experience meeting or exceeding targets.
  4. Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level. Proven ability to articulate our products strengths, and position us against competitors.
  5. Basic management skills: able to delegate and make good and timely decisions. Key qualities: positive and enthusiastic, self-driven and able to overcome setbacks, creativity and imagination, willing to experiment and risk-taker, challenge us and give your ideas.
  6. Strong interpersonal, good written and verbal communication & financial skills- Fluent in English and Hindi, other languages optional. Comfortable with data analysis and reporting.
  7. Able to work under pressure and deliver results. Strive to continuously to improve functional knowledge of their area. Good with planning and organizing. Ability to get things done.
  8. Flexible to work in evenings and weekends if needed. Hardworking, persistent, and dependable.
