Peyush Bansal was born on April 26, 1985, in New Delhi, India. He completes his early schooling from Don Bosco School and then graduated from McGill University as an Electrical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in entrepreneurship from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

This 36 years old Shark Tank India judge is still a bachelor and focusing on his entrepreneurial journey as of now.  

Career

Peyush Bansal started his professional journey with the reputed firm Microsoft Corporation in the USA as a Program Manager. After working for a year at Microsoft, Peyush set his mind to start his own business venture and at the age of 24 he launched his first business “searchmycampus.com”. After this venture, Peyush started 4 other businesses (Flyrr, Watchkart.com, BagsKart.com, and Jewelskart) before finally launching LensKart.

Peyush Bansal’s Business: Lenskart

Peyush started Lenskart in 2010 with co-founders Amit Chaudhary and Sumeet Kapahi. The company’s product lines include products like glasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. Primarily an online entity, Lenskart now have over 500 offline stores including franchisees.

The total valuation of Lenskart is estimated to be INR 37,000 crore+.

Peyush Bansal’s Controversies

Peyush has been a safe player always. He has maintained a safe distance from controversies. However, he made national headlines recently for pitching Lenskart on Shark Tank India season 1. He will be seen in the finale episode of the program, recreating his investment pitch from 2010.
