Polling for the 68-member Himachal Pradesh Assembly was held on November 12 and the winner will be revealed today. The India Today-Axis My India exit poll predicted a tight fight between Congress and BJP in the hill state with a slight edge for the grand old party. The BJP won most of the seats in the state in 2017 - 44, while the Congress managed 21 seats. The election also assumes significance because it is BJP chief J P Naddas home turf. The first phase of the election took place on December 1 while the second phase was held on December 5.
