Only one in five candidates accepted PM Internship Scheme offers, and 20% of them quit early

Pilot project launched in October 2024 to provide 1.25 lakh internship opportunities; companies made 1.65 lakh offers over two rounds, but only 33,000 were accepted, of which 6,618 interns left prematurely
