No possession, no lease rent: Allahabad HC bars NOIDA from charging rent before handing over plot

The Allahabad High Court ruled that Noida cannot charge lease rent for a plot until possession is officially handed over. The court stated that if a separate possession certificate for a sub-divided plot was not issued, that period is considered 'zero period' and no rent is due.
