Putin hosts Witkoff, Kushner as peace push intensifies

Trump has repeatedly said he wants to end the war, but his efforts - including an August summit with Putin in Alaska and meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy - have yet to deliver progress. A leaked set of 28 U.S. draft proposals last week alarmed Ukrainian and European officials, who said the plan conceded too much to Moscow on NATO expansion, territorial control, and limits on Ukraine's military.
