UPSC prelims 2026 dress code, check what to wear, items to avoid and exam day guidelines

UPSC CSE Prelims 2026: The Union Public Service Commission is conducting the Civil Services Examination prelims 2026 today in two shifts across centres nationwide. Over 8.19 lakh candidates are appearing for the examination for IAS, IFS and IPS posts. Candidates must follow strict guidelines, carry admit cards and ID proofs, and avoid prohibited items. Gurugram has deployed 1,200 personnel for security and traffic management. UPSC has also added new centres and revised its provisional answer key process for transparency.
