Rupee depreciation against major world currencies good for economy: Rajiv Kumar

The Indian rupee has hit an all-time low against the US dollar. Former Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar stated this depreciation is beneficial for the economy. It boosts labour-intensive exports from India. This also increases foreign exchange earnings. Furthermore, it generates more jobs for the country. Kumar urged discarding the 'strong rupee' narrative.
