How can a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/werindia.com\/miscellaneous\/women\">women<\/a><\/strong><\/span> defeat all powerful Mahisha?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A very powerful band of lightening emerged from the mouth of Lord Bhrama, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva which given a young and beautiful female virgin with ten hands appeared. This Shakti coalesced to form the goddess Durga. Riding on the Lion who assisted her, Durga came out to fought with Mahishasura.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-173 size-medium aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/werindia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Maa-Durga-WerIndia-300x214.jpg\" alt=\"Maa Durga\" width=\"280\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The battle continue for nine days and nine nights and at the tenth day of ashven Shukla paksha Mahishasura was defeated and killed by Durga. Hence Dasha-hara is also known as Navratri or Durgostav and is a celebration of Durga\u2019s victory.<\/p>\n<p>Navaratri is a festival represents the Hindu deity MAA Durga. The word Navaratri means \u2018nine nights\u2019 in \u2018\u00a0<strong>\u0938\u0902\u0938\u094d\u0915\u0943\u0924<\/strong>\u00a0\u2018, nava meaning nine and ratri meaning nights and along with that it brings all the flavours of food specially meant for Navratri. The special food is prepared at this auspicious and <a title=\"Significance of various colours in Navratri\" href=\"https:\/\/fusion.werindia.com\/incredible-india\/significance-various-colours-navratri\"><strong>religious days of Navratri<\/strong><\/a> across India. The right diet is very important for precautions. So the ancient Indians ushered in the new seasons with a diet that would help them cope with the change.
